A little over twenty-four hours after the puck dropped in the Bruins’ game in Denver last night, the team will play the second game in a back-to-back tonight in Tempe. Busy times, particularly since Thursday is the trip to Vegas.
The Coyotes’ recent performance has declined somewhat after a strong run in the middle of December. They have lost their last three games, being outscored 15–4 in those contests. Arizona had been playing well before that slump, winning six of their previous seven games.
Connor Ingram, Arizona’s goalie, was a major asset in late November and early December. He won five straight games, including a shutout victory over the Golden Knights in Vegas. Recently, things have been a little more erratic; in his previous five outings, Ingram has posted a 2-3 record.
With 14 goals this season, winger Michael Carcone is second on the club in goals scored, which has greatly benefited Arizona. Carcone, an undrafted free agent, led the AHL in scoring the previous campaign. The 27-year-old has already more than doubled his prior record of six career goals.
Trent Frederic hopes to carry on his recent success tonight. The previous time these two teams faced off, on December 9, he had a strong performance, contributing two assists in the Bruins’ 5-3 victory.
