PHILADELPHIA: The question of whether the Philadelphia Eagles should re-sign Nick Sirianni for a fourth season is hotly debated as he prepares his club for its third consecutive postseason. On that, everyone has an opinion.
Some feel he should come back with a few new assistant coaches, while others say he should be fired as soon as the Eagles fall to the Tampa Bay Bucs on Monday night in the Wild Card game. Some supporters believe that in order for him to stay as head coach, he must win that game in Tampa.
The Eagles barely made it to the end of the regular season after losing to the New York Giants 27-10 in a non-competitive game on Sunday. “Absolutely we’re still with Nick,” tight end Dallas Goedert declared.
This doesn’t really convey a lot about our season. The playoffs are here for us. Everybody is 0-0 as of now. I wouldn’t want to go to war with anybody else save this team and these coaches—it’s win or go home.”
Even though Fletcher Cox didn’t play on Sunday, he felt compelled to talk to reporters afterwards. His teammates couldn’t help but notice as Cox stood proudly in the center of the room, surrounded by a sizable group of media members.
He remarked, “I know the guys we got in this locker room.” “This group won eleven games. You are aware of the difficulty of winning 11 games in the National Football League? It’s quite difficult. Do you realize the difficulty of qualifying for the postseason? It’s quite difficult.
When asked how important this week is for his future and whether the team is still led by him, Brandon Graham was a little more reserved.
