Georgia Bulldogs and Kirby Smart pushing hard to land five star QB recruit amid College Football Playoff action

The Georgia Bulldogs and head coach Kirby Smart aren’t wasting any time this off-season. They may have lost earlier than they wanted to in the College Football Playoff, but that’s just given them the opportunity to get ahead of their competition in building a national championship roster for 2025 and beyond.

Yes, they have been losing some players to the NFL Draft and the Transfer Portal, but they’re also building up their future recruiting classes too. And this week, amid all the College Football Playoff action, offensive coordinator Mike Bobo was chasing after a five star quarterback recruit that Georgia very well may land.

Jared Curtis, Five Star Quarterback

Most Georgia fans are already quite familiar with the name Jared Curtis since he was committed to the Georgia Bulldogs until October 17th of last fall. Curtis, a consensus five star in the 2026 recruiting class made it clear when he decommitted from Georgia that he wasn’t closing the door. He was just opening up his recruiting to make sure he was making the right choice.

Mike Bobo and Kirby Smart’s staff obviously wants to make sure Curtis knows that Georgia is the right choice. So on Thursday offensive coordinator Bobo made a trip to visit the number one overall quarterback recruit in the nation once again.
