Fabrizio Romano Unveils What He Knows About Evan Ferguson’s Future with Arsenal and Spurs

Evan Ferguson was regarded as one of the hottest young talents in football just 12 months ago.

The Irish striker was making waves at Brighton, netting goals consistently, including a hat-trick against Newcastle. His impressive performances had top clubs like Arsenal and Tottenham eyeing him closely.

Both Arsenal and Spurs were keen on Ferguson for a while, but things have changed. It’s been nearly a year since Ferguson last scored in the Premier League, and he’s now struggling to secure regular starts for Brighton.

Fabrizio Romano, speaking on The Debrief, recently weighed in on Ferguson’s current situation. While the transfer expert admitted Ferguson’s stock has dipped, he emphasized that the 19-year-old is still highly regarded in the football world and remains on the radar of many elite clubs.

Evan Ferguson Still Highly Rated

Romano shared his insight on the young forward’s market value.

“Of course, his stock has dropped. When you don’t play or score regularly, it’s not the same as someone like Gyokeres, who is finding the net every week. It creates a different perception,” Romano explained.

“However, what I’m hearing in the industry is that Ferguson is still very much appreciated. Clubs are aware of his potential. At Brighton, it’s tricky because of the quality they have; they rotate players often, so it’s a different challenge. But make no mistake, Ferguson is still highly valued, and many top clubs across Europe are keeping him on their list as a potential No. 9 for the future.”

Still Young with Plenty of Potential

Despite his recent dip in form, Ferguson’s future remains bright. At just 19 years old, he has immense room to develop and refine his skills.

While Arsenal may still be looking for a new striker in the near future, Ferguson could very well remain a target for them.

Don’t be surprised if Evan Ferguson eventually reaches the top tier of football – his potential is far from fading.
