Johnny Manziel gave Cleveland Browns supporters reason to believe not so long ago.
The Texas A&M standout had gained national attention and was regarded as the most thrilling football player to watch.
Even before he turned pro, he was already a household celebrity because he was a fun man who knew how to make money off of his reputation.
Regrettably, he had a very unsuccessful career.
It was brief and just as disappointing.
We haven’t seen Manziel on the field in a while.
And it won’t be changing anytime soon.
He recently used Twitter to refute any possible comeback rumors that surfaced when a photo of him sporting a Miami Dolphins hat went viral.
He asserted that he is no longer involved in football and is simply a follower of the sport, independent of the team.
Manziel was clearly born to play in the spotlight, and his skills were obvious.
Regrettably, his once-promising career was ruined by his dubious work ethic and off-field indiscretions.
He eventually strayed from everything that made him a good player since he was unable to acquire the assistance he needed in a timely manner.
Since then, he has recovered and put his life back together.
But it’s a long way to return to the NFL or any kind of competitive football from there.
He hasn’t played the game in a very long time, and he’s accepted how his career ended.
