Hollis Davidson, a 3-star tight end in the class of 2025, committed to Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers after attending the university’s Junior Day on January 4.
Tuesday afternoon, Davidson declared his pledge in a post on X, the social networking site that was formerly known as Twitter.
Following offers from colleges including Cincinnati, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami, and Penn State—six more that joined Auburn on Davidson’s top-seven list, which he revealed on January 19—Davidson made his decision on Tuesday.
Along with Auburn’s Junior Day, Davidson also earned an offer from Ole Miss on the same day.
At six feet five inches and 238 pounds, Davidson is ranked 22nd among tight ends in the country by 247 Sports and 42nd overall, all positions combined, among recruits to come out of Georgia in the 2025 recruiting class.
Davidson helped the Chiefs make the playoffs in 2023 by hauling in 30 passes for 436 yards and three scores during his junior year at McIntosh High School in Peachtree City, Georgia. In addition, Davidson plays goalie for the McIntosh Chiefs soccer team.
Davidson becomes the eighth member of Auburn’s 2025 recruiting class with his commitment. Alongside Davidson is Ryan Ghea, a 2025 3-star tight end who committed to Auburn in November.
