Former Tennessee Volunteers corner Kamal Hadden spoke about his growth during his time with the team ahead of the NFL Combine.
This past year was Kamal Hadden’s best season as a cornerback for the Tennessee Volunteers. After a challenging 2022 season, he recovered to be the Vols’ finest cover corner in 2023. In seven games, Hadden recorded 19 tackles, seven pass deflections, and three interceptions before getting hurt against Alabama that ended his season.
He is the first of three University of Tennessee representatives taking tests at the NFL Combine this year. Later this afternoon, Hadden will compete with the other corners. Ahead of an important turning point in his career, Hadden thought back on the lessons he learned as a Volunteer.
“Tennessee stuck with me and helped me grow as a player and a man, which greatly prepared me for the league.” They were a huge assistance to me, simply providing me with the chance to show off my qualities as a guy and a player.” – Kamal Hadden, speaking with media during the 2024 NFL Combine
Hadden stated that he won’t be doing any athletic tests, but he will take part in on-field drills on Friday afternoon. On March 27, he will experience all of the predraft activities at Tennessee’s Pro Day.
