With their offense starting to click more, the Boston Bruins will be attempting to sweep the St. Louis Blues in two games starting on Monday.
The Boston Bruins and St. Louis Blues will play their second and last game of the season at TD Garden on Monday.
Charlie McAvoy scored the game-winning goal in overtime as the Bruins defeated the opposition 4-3 on January 13. Boston has scored four goals or more in three of its last four victories.
Following the morning skate on Monday, McAvoy declared, “That’s the style that we want to play.” It’s been excellent because we want to continue to improve and, of course, be consistent in attempting to win in regulation and score points. Seeing our game this past little while has been good.
Charlie Coyle was “slightly under the weather,” so he skipped morning skate, but Bruins coach Jim Montgomery stated he anticipates him playing on Monday. All six defenseman will start the game in the same lineup as they did the last one, with the exception of Jeremy Swayman, who will alternate in at goalkeeper after Linus Ullmark started it.
That implies acquiring deadlines. Although Andrew Peeke will have to wait to make his Bruins debut, Montgomery stated that he prefers for the 25-year-old defenseman to get more experience under his belt before making him the starting point.
