Jere Innala: My Love for the Colorado Avalanche

Hockey has always been more than just a sport to me; it’s a way of life, a passion that runs deep in my veins. And when it comes to the Colorado Avalanche, that passion intensifies. Some players might be motivated by money, fame, or statistics, but for me, it’s the relationships, the camaraderie, and the connection to the Avalanche organization that truly matter. I have always loved this team from the depths of my soul, and that love goes beyond the ice.

From the moment I first put on the Avalanche sweater, I knew this was where I belonged. The legacy of this franchise, the incredible fans, and the deep-rooted hockey culture in Colorado all contributed to my immediate attachment. But what really solidified my love for this team were the people—my teammates, the coaching staff, the front office, and the fans. Hockey is not just about scoring goals or winning games; it’s about the relationships we build along the way.

Being a part of this team means being part of a family. Every day, I walk into the locker room knowing I’m surrounded by brothers who have my back, who push me to be better, and who share the same unwavering commitment to success. The bonds we create on and off the ice last a lifetime. When I think about staying with the Avalanche, I don’t think about contract negotiations or salary figures—I think about the people who have made this journey so special.

The fans in Colorado are another reason why my heart is tied to this team. Their dedication, energy, and love for the Avalanche are unmatched. Every time I step onto the ice at Ball Arena, I feel their passion, and it fuels me to give everything I have. They have welcomed me with open arms, and I want nothing more than to continue giving back to this incredible community. Their support is not just about wins and losses; it’s about a shared love for this team, a connection that runs deeper than the game itself.

The Avalanche organization has a rich history, and being a part of that is an honor I don’t take lightly. The legendary players who have come before me—Joe Sakic, Peter Forsberg, Patrick Roy—have set a standard of excellence. This franchise has always been about more than just hockey; it’s about character, perseverance, and a commitment to greatness. That legacy is something I want to continue to uphold.

Ultimately, my decision to stay with the Avalanche is driven by my love for this team, my relationships within it, and my desire to contribute to its continued success. Money will never be the deciding factor for me—what truly matters is being part of something special. The Avalanche have given me so much, and I want to give everything I have in return. From the depths of my soul, this team is where I belong, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Sabbath formed the year I was born, first song I learned on guitar was Sweet L3af, saw Ozzy in ‘82 just after the plane crash, countless Ozfest’s, 1998 reunion show, etc etc….. I’ve seen a lot of fans talking about what band was uninvited, or who didn’t live up to the hype, or which band shouldn’t have been there… I watched the entire show and, for me, the lifetime soundtrack was as touching and meaningful as a McCartney concert…

This just popped up as a memory from my regular page. I believe part of his payment was for the cords to hook up all his pedals. Jake said he had those all hooked up.

Ever since I first heard him on the Bark At The Moon album, I’ve been a huge fan Of Jake E. Lee. I’ve seen him play with Ozzy twice, Badlands once and his solo band 3 or 4 times and have met him twice. He is one of the nicest, humblest people you can ever be lucky to meet.

Jake, it’s so nice to see you back on a big stage. I remember when I was 14 and I tried to play your solos on the guitar and I never succeeded. Don’t isolate yourself anymore, do it for your many fans around the world.
