Emmanuel Dennis is set to return to Nottingham Forest this summer, and his future remains uncertain.
The Nigerian player played the second half of the season at Watford, where Forest signed Dennis for roughly £10 million in 2022.
Following an unsuccessful spell with Istanbul Basaksehir, he returned to England in January, where he scored four goals for the Hornets.
Dennis has a contract with Forest until 2026, and he will most likely be expected to report for pre-season training with the Reds.
After yesterday’s game, he took to social media to express his one-word reaction to the team’s victory in their survival battle.

The 26-year-old appears to have been keeping track of his parent club’s fortunes.
He predicted on Sky Sports a few weeks ago that Forest would survive relegation, and he was proved correct.
After yesterday’s 2-1 victory triggered wild celebrations, Dennis rushed to Instagram to provide a single word reaction to the accomplishment.
Dennis merely uploaded an image of the group with the word ‘bravo’ added, indicating that he is proud of his teammates.
Nuno Espirito Santo might give Dennis another City Ground chance
It will be intriguing to see what happens with Dennis; if he is sold, Forest may have to absorb a loss on the player.
When Callum Hudson-Odoi and Anthony Elanga were not available, Forest lacked depth.
As a result, Espirito Santo may have a look at Dennis during the preseason to see whether he can bring anything to the team.
During the 2022/23 season, Dennis scored twice and assisted three times, but he was unable to fully impress Steve Cooper.
Forest expects to balance the accounts this summer, so Dennis may have a window of opportunity.
Under the right management, there is a player in there someplace, and perhaps supporters will have the opportunity to see Dennis in action again at Forest.
