A former Celtic fan couldn’t help but blast at Rangers after yesterday’s Scottish Cup final 2024.
Moussa Dembele insists on keeping his thoughts on Philippe Clement’s team’s performance to himself.
The French striker used social media to make a cheeky dig at Celtic’s fierce Glasgow rivals.
Dembele scored seven goals against the Ibrox club during his two-year spell with the Hoops. He signed for Lyon in 2018 for a record £20 million.
Adam Idah now has two derby goals after earning a victory for Brendan Rodgers and his team in the 90th minute at Hampden.
Dembele turned to social media site X to praise his former team while also criticising the Rangers.
He wrote: “Well done Bhoys! A double well deserved. Always on the winning side, and Rangers… I rather not say anything about them.”
Dembele, 27, now plays for Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq in the Saudi Pro League.
Meanwhile, Celtic striker Adam Idah last night described his winning goal in the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup final as the best of his life before admitting he is doubtful whether he would return to Parkhead next season.
However, the Republic of Ireland international, who scored in the final minute of a tense match against Rangers at Hampden to secure a league and cup double, credited his loan spell in Scotland with reviving his career and admitted he had been taken aback by the “love” he has received in Glasgow.
Idah, who transferred to this country from Norwich City during the January transfer window, is under contract with the English Championship club until 2028, and it is uncertain whether the Scottish champions are willing to pay the £5 million amount required to capture his services permanently.
