Brentford have added Torino’s Alessandro Buongiorno to their target list for the summer window.
The centre-back is now with the Italy squad at the Euros, and his future status may change.
According to Area Napoli, Napoli is interested in signing the 25-year-old this summer and is keeping an eye on his position, as is Brentford.
It is believed that Thomas Frank’s side conducted polls to learn more about the Italy international. According to the source, the Bees do not want to spend more than €30 million to get his signing.
Torino’s chairman, Urbano Cairo, appears to want more.
The Naples club, for their part, is ‘not terrified’ of Brentford’s rivalry and refuses to give up on following the Torino star.
According to the report, Buongiorno has met with new Napoli manager Antonio Conte, and the Italian club has reached a general agreement with his agent, Giuseppe Riso, on a five-year contract.
Despite this, Area Napoli says ‘nothing has been determined yet’ for Buongiorno, which could give Brentford hope to sign him this summer.
