Manchester City have a track record when it comes to loaning players out to foreign clubs.
Over recent years, the Blues have loaned out players such as Joao Cancelo and Maximo Perrone, among others, to numerous clubs across Europe and beyond.
Despite moving certain players out on temporary deals, Pep Guardiola’s side have still managed to be successful, as they are now the first team to win four Premier League trophies in a row.
With the summer transfer window open and the next preseason period a few weeks away from beginning, some behind-the-scenes information has arisen regarding one big club that have set their sights on loaning another one of City’s players.
Juventus now want to sign Man City player on loan
According to a recent report from Tuttomercatoweb, Juventus are hoping to land a loan deal for Yan Couto this summer.
The right-back, who has admitted previously that he’d be open to joining Real Madrid, has been on the books at the Etihad Stadium since 2020 but has spent the last two seasons on loan at Girona.
Last season saw the 22-year-old score two goals and provide 10 assists in 39 appearances across La Liga and the Copa del Rey.
Couto showed what he’s capable of in latest season with Girona
His league campaign, which football talent scout, Jacek Kulig, described as “superb” on his X account, saw the Brazilian rack up the second-highest total of crosses into the penalty area (17) and successful tackles (34) in the Girona squad.
This shows how useful he can be on and off the ball up and down the pitch.
Moving forward, if City don’t feel that Couto is someone who could play a significant role for them next season, perhaps another loan move to a side like Juventus, if he’d be getting regular minutes, would be an ideal next step for him.
