David Moyes was seen hugging Rob Edwards after West Ham defeated Luton Town 3-1 at the London Stadium on Saturday (May 11).
Following the encounter, the Hatters’ relegation was all but assured, with only one game remaining.
Luton took the lead through Albert Sambi Lokonga, threatening to ruin Moyes’ London Stadium farewell, but goals from James Ward-Prowse, Tomas Soucek, and George Earthy proved too much for the relegation-threatened club.
On Saturday (11 May), Daily Mail writer Kathryn Batte posted on X: “A wonderful moment between David Moyes and Rob Edwards at the end of the game. Moyes wrapped his arm around Edwards, perhaps offering words of consolation.

While Moyes will depart the London Stadium at the end of the season, he undoubtedly has a wealth of knowledge to share, and Edwards will be grateful that he took the time to speak with him after the game.
The Scot led the Hammers to their first European championship in decades last season, but this season has been a disappointment since the turn of the year, despite a promising first half.
Moyes bowed out in style at home, defeating Luton at the London Stadium, and will now focus on the season’s final game against Manchester City on Sunday, May 19.
Edwards was even connected with the West Ham job when pressure rose on the club to oust Moyes early this season, but it appears that Julen Lopetegui will take over next season.
The Welshman has done an incredible job keeping his club in contention until the end of the Premier League season, but it appears that avoiding relegation alongside Sheffield United and Burnley was simply too much to ask.
