The number 9 has previously shared photographs of him stepping out of a doorway, but supporters believe it is nearing the end for the ex-Bournemouth star.
Newcastle United number nine Callum Wilson has left fans wondering about his future after sending a suggestive remark on his Instagram account yesterday night.
The Newcastle United player has been connected with Saudi Pro League clubs as well as a move to West Ham United in the Premier League, as first reported by Chronicle Live last Saturday. Wilson is believed to be one of half a dozen Newcastle players who the club is willing to trade in order to provide a positive set of financial figures for the top flight’s PSR inspections on June 30.
Last night, with chatter around the club that someone will be sold this weekend, Wilson posted a note that read: “Growing sometimes means leaving people behind.”
Wilson only has one year left on his contract with Newcastle, and when asked in May if he wanted to return for preseason, he said yes. However, Newcastle’s fortunes have changed since then, and they have been widely connected with Dominic Calvert-Lewin, whom they questioned about last week before talks broke down.
At the end of last season, the striker remarked, “I’m contracted to Newcastle still, I’ll be back for pre-season.” At 32, with no contract extension anticipated at St James’ Park, this could be his last chance for a huge payday.
