Led Zeppelin just gave fans a huge reason to buzz — during soundcheck in Norway, they reportedly tore into “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath” ahead of their set, paying epic tribute to the godfathers of metal. With the massive Back to the Beginning concert coming up this Saturday in Black Sabbath’s hometown, could a full-on cover be next? The star-studded lineup includes Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, and more — and marks Ozzy Osbourne’s emotional farewell and a full Sabbath reunion. Don’t miss history in the making. Watch below

This Saturday, rock history is set to thunder through the streets of Birmingham as the much-anticipated Back to the Beginning concert kicks off in Black Sabbath’s hometown. More than just a concert, this once-in-a-lifetime event serves as a monumental tribute to the band that forged the path for heavy metal. With a lineup that reads like a who’s who of metal royalty — including Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, and more — fans can expect nothing less than an unforgettable night of raw power, emotion, and legacy.

Perhaps most significantly, the event marks Ozzy Osbourne’s emotional farewell to live performance, bringing his legendary career full circle in the city where it all began. After years of health battles and retirement rumors, the Prince of Darkness returns to the stage for one last hurrah. It’s a fitting end to a saga that changed music forever — and fittingly, a full Black Sabbath reunion is planned for the event. Ozzy, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and possibly even drummer Bill Ward will stand together one final time, uniting the original lineup for what promises to be an earth-shattering finale.

The emotional weight of this moment can’t be overstated. Black Sabbath didn’t just influence heavy metal; they created it. Their self-titled debut album in 1970 laid down the blueprint, and now, over five decades later, they return to their roots for what might be their last collective bow. For fans both old and new, this is more than nostalgia — it’s history in motion.

Adding to the significance is the presence of bands directly shaped by Sabbath’s influence. Metallica’s crushing riffs, Slayer’s thrash fury, and Pantera’s groove metal all owe a debt to Sabbath’s innovation. Seeing these icons share a stage with the band that inspired them offers a full-circle moment rarely seen in the music world. It’s not just a celebration of the past; it’s a reaffirmation of Sabbath’s enduring impact on generations of musicians.

With such a powerful lineup and the emotional gravity of Ozzy’s farewell, speculation is already swirling: Could a full-on Black Sabbath cover project be next? Tribute albums, live collaborations, or even studio recordings featuring the concert’s elite performers covering Sabbath classics could keep the flame burning. Metallica or Pantera taking on “War Pigs” or “Children of the Grave”? It’s not far-fetched — and fans would welcome it with open arms. Such a project would serve not just as a tribute, but as a generational bridge that keeps Sabbath’s legacy thriving for decades to come.

For now, all eyes turn to Saturday night. Whether you’re watching from the front row in Birmingham or tuning in from across the world, don’t miss this historic moment. It’s not just another metal show — it’s the final chapter of a band that changed everything. Watch below, and witness metal’s originators take their final bow.

Sabbath formed the year I was born, first song I learned on guitar was Sweet L3af, saw Ozzy in ‘82 just after the plane crash, countless Ozfest’s, 1998 reunion show, etc etc….. I’ve seen a lot of fans talking about what band was uninvited, or who didn’t live up to the hype, or which band shouldn’t have been there… I watched the entire show and, for me, the lifetime soundtrack was as touching and meaningful as a McCartney concert…

This just popped up as a memory from my regular page. I believe part of his payment was for the cords to hook up all his pedals. Jake said he had those all hooked up.

Ever since I first heard him on the Bark At The Moon album, I’ve been a huge fan Of Jake E. Lee. I’ve seen him play with Ozzy twice, Badlands once and his solo band 3 or 4 times and have met him twice. He is one of the nicest, humblest people you can ever be lucky to meet.

Jake, it’s so nice to see you back on a big stage. I remember when I was 14 and I tried to play your solos on the guitar and I never succeeded. Don’t isolate yourself anymore, do it for your many fans around the world.
