My little haul from Saturday. Golden circle wristband and confetti is mine, the crew wristband and picks (yes, there’s one of Tony Iommi’s) courtesy of a good mate of mine who worked the show all week. Bonus Foo Fighters dollar bill she sent me is cool as fuck too. I have the best friends.

Sometimes it’s the small things that hit hardest—little mementos that pack a punch of memory, meaning, and joy. Saturday was one of those nights, and what I came home with might seem like a modest haul to some, but to me, it’s priceless.

First off, the golden circle wristband and confetti are mine—souvenirs earned the honest way, in the thick of the crowd, heart pounding, music roaring in my ears. That wristband felt like a key to another world, a few meters closer to the magic. And the confetti? I know it’s just bits of paper, but when it’s launched into the air at the climax of a song you’ve been waiting all night to hear, it feels like stardust.

But the real gems came courtesy of a good mate of mine who worked the show all week—absolute legend. Thanks to her, I scored a crew wristband and some guitar picks, which already have pride of place on my shelf. One of them—brace yourselves—is Tony Iommi’s. Yeah. The Tony Iommi. Black Sabbath’s riff lord, metal pioneer, living legend. Just holding that pick gives me chills. Imagining it in his hand, used in a soundcheck or maybe even during the gig? That’s rock ‘n’ roll history in my palm.

She didn’t stop there either. As a bonus surprise, she sent me this Foo Fighters dollar bill. It’s one of those little promo pieces they sometimes toss out into the crowd or tuck into merch. Totally random. Totally awesome. It’s got that kind of tongue-in-cheek energy the Foos are known for, and it’s already flattened out and pinned to the corkboard above my desk. Every time I glance up at it, it makes me grin.

What gets me most about all this isn’t just the cool factor—it’s the thought behind it. My friend didn’t have to do any of it. She was working her ass off all week, dealing with the chaos behind the scenes, and she still took the time to snag a few keepsakes for me because she knew I’d appreciate them. That kind of gesture goes a long way.

Honestly, I have the best friends. The kind who know what’ll make your day. The kind who look out for you when you’re not even expecting it. That haul might fit into a small box, but it’s packed with memories, good vibes, and the kind of magic that only live music—and solid friendships—can create.

So here’s to good gigs, great mates, and the little things that end up meaning everything. Saturday night might be over, but the buzz? That’s gonna stick around for a

Led Zeppelin the Best Band of all time Led#1 forever, Led Zeppelin, formed in 1968, consisted of Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham. After reshaping the sound of rock with their debut Led Zeppelin (1969), they followed with Led Zeppelin II (1969), III (1970), and IV (1971), which featured the immortal “Stairway to Heaven.” The band seamlessly blended blues, hard rock, and folk influences with unmatched intensity. Physical Graffiti (1975) and Presence (1976) showed their experimental range, while In Through the Out Door (1979) reflected musical evolution. Known for mystique and explosive live shows, Zeppelin avoided releasing singles, encouraging full-album experiences. The band dissolved after Bonham’s death in 1980, but their 2007 reunion at the O2 Arena proved their enduring magic. Selling over 300 million records, Led Zeppelin are Rock Hall inductees and cultural cornerstones, often cited as the greatest rock band in history.

Sabbath formed the year I was born, first song I learned on guitar was Sweet L3af, saw Ozzy in ‘82 just after the plane crash, countless Ozfest’s, 1998 reunion show, etc etc….. I’ve seen a lot of fans talking about what band was uninvited, or who didn’t live up to the hype, or which band shouldn’t have been there… I watched the entire show and, for me, the lifetime soundtrack was as touching and meaningful as a McCartney concert…

This just popped up as a memory from my regular page. I believe part of his payment was for the cords to hook up all his pedals. Jake said he had those all hooked up.

Ever since I first heard him on the Bark At The Moon album, I’ve been a huge fan Of Jake E. Lee. I’ve seen him play with Ozzy twice, Badlands once and his solo band 3 or 4 times and have met him twice. He is one of the nicest, humblest people you can ever be lucky to meet.
