Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen can’t keep his head up after getting his heart broken by Mahomes and Chiefs once again
he Buffalo Bills Super Bowl LIX hopes were ended on Sunday night as they lost to the NFL’s defending champions Kansas City Chiefs 32-29 on Arrowhead Stadium, a feeling that’s way too familiar for the New York team.
Quarterback Josh Allen -an MVP candidate – completed 22-of 34 passes for 237 yards and two touchdowns while adding 39 yards on the ground. Star running back James Cook led the ground attack with 85 yards and two touchdowns. And Mack Hollins led all Bills receivers with 73 yards receiving.
But the collective effort was not enough as Buffalo was once again beaten by Kansas City.Josh Allen is 0-4 against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in his postseason career, which begins to take a toll on the stellar quarterback who wishes to take his team to the Super Bowl with multiple failed attempts.
Josh Allen can’t find the words to describe what he feels
One of the players that was most affected by the loss to the Chiefs was quarterback Josh Allen, who had a very hard time finding the words to describe the heart broken defeat at the hands of the defending Super Bowl champions.
“It`s not fun but to be the champs, you’ve got to beat the champs… and we didn’t do that tonight.” Allen said as he struggled to keep his head up and talk to the media. “You can either get it done or you can’t and we didn’t tonight. They’ve (the Chiefs) ended a lot of teams seasons too, it’s a good squad, they had a good plan and they’ve made more plays than we did.”
Allen added that he was really proud of his teammates who were ready to give their best every game and worked hard to get to the AFC Championship game. “Guys truly adopted what we talked about this year going into it and I love this guys.” the quarterback stated.
Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott talked to the media about coming up short against the Chiefs in the playoffs again, being proud of the team this year, and the effort that the team gave this season and during the game.
“Not the results we were looking for, I’m so proud of the guys, they battle and they gave everything they had, just came a little bit short against a really good football team. Overall the guys battle, it could have gone either way and we had some plays where we could have converted on fourth down but it didn’t worked out that way.” McDermott said.
It’s all set for Super Bowl LIX to be played at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana on Sunday February the 9th, when the defending champions Kansas City Chiefs will try to make history by winning three Super Bowls in a row. Their opponent is the very impressive Philadelphia Eagles.

It would be a rematch of Super Bowl LVII in Glendale, Arizona, when both teams combined for 750 yards of offense and eight touchdowns, and it wasn’t decided until a field goal with eight seconds left in the game. It was an exciting and dramatic game that featured big plays and big performances by some of the NFL’s best players.
The Eagles, led by star quarterback Jalen Hurts and superstar running back Saquon Barkley, will try to stop the iconic Patrick Mahomes and the legendary tight end Travis Kelce, who have the edge going into the Super Bowl as they have more experience and knowledge to beat Philadelphia.
