FANS REJOICE: Legendary Rock Band Def Leppard Officially Announces Their Long-Awaited 2026 Farewell Tour Across Six North American Cities
After decades of chart-topping hits, sold-out arenas, and unforgettable anthems, legendary British rock band Def Leppard has officially announced their long-awaited 2026 farewell tour — a final run that will span six major cities across North America. For fans who’ve grown up with the band’s electrifying sound and arena-sized energy, this is the moment they’ve both anticipated and dreaded: one last chance to witness rock history live.
The tour, aptly titled “Def Leppard: One Last Time,” will mark the end of an era that began in the late 1970s and exploded globally with classics like “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” “Photograph,” and “Hysteria.” Known for their massive stage presence, powerhouse vocals, and multi-generational fanbase, the band is promising an emotional, high-energy sendoff worthy of their legendary status.
“We’ve toured the world, made lifelong memories, and met fans who’ve been with us since day one,” frontman Joe Elliott said in a heartfelt statement. “But now it’s time to say goodbye the only way we know how — loud, proud, and with all of you by our side.”
The Six-City Farewell Tour Stops:
- Los Angeles, CA – SoFi Stadium
- Chicago, IL – Soldier Field
- New York, NY – Madison Square Garden
- Toronto, ON – Rogers Centre
- Dallas, TX – AT&T Stadium
- Las Vegas, NV – Allegiant Stadium
Each show is expected to be a stadium-sized spectacle, with full production, surprise guests, and a setlist that spans over four decades of rock hits. According to band insiders, the tour will feature career-spanning performances, rare deep cuts for hardcore fans, and a few never-before-heard live arrangements of classics.
Tickets will go on sale Friday, July 25, 2025, with a special fan club presale opening 48 hours earlier. Demand is expected to be unprecedented, as this will be the band’s final opportunity to perform live together in North America.
A Legacy That Will Never Fade
Formed in Sheffield, England, Def Leppard rose to fame in the 1980s and became one of the defining acts of the glam-metal era. With over 100 million records sold worldwide and induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2019, their influence on the music world is indisputable.
Band members Joe Elliott, Phil Collen, Rick Savage, Rick Allen, and Vivian Campbell have expressed that the decision to end touring was not taken lightly but felt right as they enter a new chapter of life.
“This isn’t the end of Def Leppard,” said guitarist Phil Collen. “The music will live on forever — but this tour, these six nights, are for the fans who’ve carried us this far. We want to give them a final experience they’ll never forget.”
As anticipation builds and cities prepare to welcome the legends one last time, fans across North America are already celebrating what promises to be a historic farewell to one of rock’s greatest bands.
