Goodbye fans, I am leaving but promise to return back: Caitlin Clark an American professional basketball player Announce
Goodbye Fans, I Am Leaving, But I Promise to Return – Caitlin Clark
To my beloved fans, teammates, and supporters,
Today, I stand before you with a heavy heart as I announce that I am stepping away from the game for a short time. It has been an incredible journey up to this point, and making this decision has been one of the most challenging moments of my life. For those of you who have followed my career from the start and those who have just recently joined the ride, I am grateful for each and every one of you. You have been the driving force behind my passion and determination, and this is a promise to you—I’ll be back stronger than ever.
Basketball has always been more than just a sport to me. It has been my life, my passion, my escape, and my purpose. From the first time I dribbled a ball as a little girl in my driveway to now being able to play on some of the biggest stages in the world, I’ve learned so much about myself, about the game, and about the incredible people who make up this sport. Every jump shot, every assist, every defensive play has meant something special, but the greatest reward has been the connection I’ve made with all of you.
Throughout this journey, I’ve been blessed to play for amazing teammates, coaches, and fans who have supported me every step of the way. Your cheers from the stands, your messages of encouragement, and your belief in me have kept me going even when things were tough. The love and energy you bring to each game is unparalleled, and I carry that with me wherever I go.
But sometimes, in life, we need to step back to recharge and refocus, both mentally and physically. I have been blessed to have had a career full of incredible moments and unforgettable experiences, but now, I must take the necessary time to ensure that I can return to the court with the same fire and passion that I’ve always had. Whether it’s spending more time with family, focusing on my mental and physical health, or working on skills to become the best player I can be, this break is something I need for myself.
I want to emphasize that this is not goodbye forever. This is just a pause. I’ve made a promise to myself that I will return, and I intend to keep it. Basketball has been my life’s calling, and the love I have for the game has never wavered. When I return, I will be ready to give you all everything I have. I know the journey ahead won’t always be easy, but I’m more motivated than ever to get back on the court and continue making the impact I’ve always dreamed of.
To my fans, thank you for your unwavering support and understanding. You’ve been with me through highs and lows, and for that, I will always be grateful. I’m only stepping away temporarily, but when I come back, I will return stronger, better, and more determined to make you proud.
Until then, keep cheering, keep believing, and remember that this is just one chapter in our story together. I’ll see you all soon.
With love and appreciation,
Caitlin Clark
