In a heartfelt announcement, West Bromwich Albion winger Matt Phillips has confirmed his departure from The Hawthorns after eight years with the club. Phillips took to Instagram to express his gratitude:

“On behalf of me and my family, I would like to say a massive thank you for your support over the last eight years, Baggies. Past and present players, managers, training ground staff, stadium staff, everyone in between! This club will always be in my heart, and I wish it nothing but success. You have an unbelievable manager and a great group of lads that strive each day to do you all pro

During his time at West Brom, Phillips contributed significantly to the team’s efforts, including their promotion to the Premier League. Despite injury setbacks in recent seasons, he remained a key figure both on and off the pitch.

Phillips’ departure marks the beginning of a transitional period for West Brom, as several experienced players are set to leave the club. The winger’s leadership and experience will be missed as the team prepares for the upcoming season.

As Phillips embarks on the next chapter of his career, he leaves behind a legacy of dedication and professionalism that has endeared him to the West Brom faithful.

Ever since I first heard him on the Bark At The Moon album, I’ve been a huge fan Of Jake E. Lee. I’ve seen him play with Ozzy twice, Badlands once and his solo band 3 or 4 times and have met him twice. He is one of the nicest, humblest people you can ever be lucky to meet.

Jake, it’s so nice to see you back on a big stage. I remember when I was 14 and I tried to play your solos on the guitar and I never succeeded. Don’t isolate yourself anymore, do it for your many fans around the world.
