NEW INTRODUCTION: Georgia Bulldogs Welcome their new member coming from…
The transfer portal for college football opened on Monday, Dec. 9, and several players around the country have begun taking advantage. Georgia is no exception, even as it prepares for its College Football Playoff quarterfinal matchup in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1. Here you can find every Bulldog who has entered the portal ahead of the Sugar Bowl. The transfer portal will remain open until Dec. 28.
Freshman wideout Nitro Tuggle announced that he would enter the portal on Monday, but he was not in there for long. On Tuesday, Tuggle announced his decision to remain at Georgia. Tuggle caught three passes for 34 yards this season.
Tuggle’s announcement came the same day it was announced that senior wide receiver Colbie Young’s legal issues will not be resolved in time for him to return for the Sugar Bowl or likely the rest of the season for that matter. Tuggle is expected to have a more significant role for Georgia in 2025 due to the impending graduations of Young, Dominic Lovett and Arian Smith.
With Georgia currently thin at receiver, there’s a chance he gets more playing time even earlier than that.
Sophomore defensive lineman Jamaal Jarrett entered the transfer portal on Tuesday after appearing in 11 games this season and recording three tackles.
Jarrett was a member of Georgia’s 2023 signing class. He was a 4-star recruit from Greensboro, North Carolina, and was ranked as the nation’s No. 13 defensive lineman and No. 95 overall player.
Jarrett will have three years of eligibility remaining at his new school. Georgia defensive linemen Nazir Stackhouse and Warren Brinson will run out of eligibility after this season, while Tyrion Ingram Christen Miller and Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins will all have decisions to make about whether to return to Georgia or enter the NFL draft.
