REPORT: Def Leppard Announces One Final ‘Reunion’ Show in Sheffield

In a momentous announcement that has electrified the rock music community, Def Leppard has revealed plans for one final ‘reunion’ concert in their hometown of Sheffield, England. The event is scheduled for August 16, 2025, at the iconic Bramall Lane Stadium, marking a poignant return to the city where the band’s storied journey began over four decades ago.

This special performance is set to be a heartfelt celebration of Def Leppard’s enduring legacy, featuring the classic lineup of Joe Elliott, Rick Savage, Rick Allen, Phil Collen, and Vivian Campbell. The band aims to deliver a comprehensive retrospective of their illustrious career, performing timeless hits such as “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” “Photograph,” and “Love Bites,” alongside fan favorites and deep cuts that have defined their sound.(KTLO)

Frontman Joe Elliott expressed the band’s sentiments in a recent statement: “Returning to Sheffield for this final reunion show feels like the perfect way to honor our roots and the incredible journey we’ve shared with our fans. It’s a full-circle moment that holds immense meaning for all of us.”

The concert will also pay tribute to guitarist Vivian Campbell’s resilience and dedication. Campbell, who has been battling Hodgkin’s lymphoma since 2013, has continued to perform with the band throughout his treatment. Sabbath formed the year I was born, first song I learned on guitar was Sweet L3af, saw Ozzy in ‘82 just after the plane crash, countless Ozfest’s, 1998 reunion show, etc etc….. I’ve seen a lot of fans talking about what band was uninvited, or who didn’t live up to the hype, or which band shouldn’t have been there… I watched the entire show and, for me, the lifetime soundtrack was as touching and meaningful as a McCartney concert…

This just popped up as a memory from my regular page. I believe part of his payment was for the cords to hook up all his pedals. Jake said he had those all hooked up.

Jake, it’s so nice to see you back on a big stage. I remember when I was 14 and I tried to play your solos on the guitar and I never succeeded. Don’t isolate yourself anymore, do it for your many fans around the world.
