AFL schedule for 2025: Six must-see games
After reviewing the 2025 AFL schedule, we have selected six games that are a must-see for the following season.
Bulldogs supporters will undoubtedly be excited in 2025 when the team plays at home on Saturday night for the first time in six years. The Dogs will also be excited to see Caleb Daniel in his new colors, as this will be their first prime-time encounter against the Kangaroos in front of an audience since 2018 (they played on a Saturday night during the 2020 lockdown).
The Dogs will play Collingwood at home at the MCG to commemorate their 100th anniversary in the V/AFL. The possibility of breaking the Club’s home-and-away attendance record of 68,447 is very real when they host a home-and-away game on the sacred turf for the first time since 2009. St Kilda in Round 6 7.20 p.m. Marvel Stadium on Sunday, April 20 (H) Another game that Dogs supporters won’t want to miss is a match at the new Sunday night time slot. At the first center bounce, the Bulldogs will undoubtedly give Jack Macrae, who moved to St Kilda this Trade Period, a cold reception while also providing the red, white, and blue even more cause for celebration on Easter Sunday.
At the beginning of May, the Bulldogs will travel up the highway to Ballarat to host the Power. The hosts, who have won four of their last five encounters there, will be eager to continue the fun in the Eureka City.
The Dogs will play Essendon at Marvel Stadium on Saturday night during the opening week of Sir Doug Nicholls Round. Fans may anticipate a lot on and off the field if the 2024 match is any indication. The Bulldogs will try to make their match-day even more exciting next year by including an excerpt from 37, a play by Trawlwoolway Pakana writer Nathan Maynard, in the pre-game entertainment this year.
