According to Paul Lukas of Uni-Watch, the Atlanta Braves are making a big change to their navy blue alternate uniforms for the 2024 season.
Paul Lukas of Uni-Watch reports that the Atlanta Braves will be drastically altering their navy blue alternate uniforms for the 2024 campaign.
The uniform piping for the Braves will be red, rather than white. The piping will go along the sleeves, behind the players’ necks, and down the front by the buttons.
Lukas expressed his thoughts and provided comparison images, which are viewed here:
“During today’s spring training session, Atlanta made a surprising modification to their navy road alternative jersey, as you can see above. The sleeve trim and grey headspoon piping have been changed to red.
I don’t like the alteration; maybe this is just one writer’s perspective. The team’s red and navy blue color scheme makes them too similar to the Minnesota Twins. They resemble the Twins, who have worn red caps throughout the 2000s, when you combine these modifications with the red spring training hats.
This is not the first spring training controversy with uniforms. The Fanatics-Nike alliance has received negative feedback from players and fans throughout the league overall.
When it comes to their actual performance in 2024, the Braves should be among the top baseball teams once more, despite their appearance. They were defeated by the Philadelphia Phillies in the National League Division Series, despite having won the National League East in 2023.
