Auburn is expecting a very strong class of 2024 recruits, including several five- and four-star athletes.
Hugh Freeze, the head coach of Auburn, prioritized recruiting upon joining the Plains, as evidenced by his selection of the top-ranked class of high school recruits, as reported by 247Sports. Coach Freeze has a great deal of faith in the young players he has drafted, as you will see many of these players play as true freshmen.
Receiver Bryce Cain is one athlete you could see on the field early in his Auburn career. He is a 5’11 speedster ranked 191st in the 2024 class by 247Sports aggregate rankings. In his brief time on campus, Cain has already drawn attention with his track pace. As a true freshman, he will see the field in some capacity and will catch a lot of passes throughout his time at Auburn.
Hank Brown, the quarterback for Auburn, spoke with the Locked On Auburn Podcast about the off-season. What has Brown observed thus far in Cain, the host Zac Blackerby questioned? “Yeah, you know, I’d say my favorite thing about Bryce is he’s just a competitor,” Brown said of the rookie wide receiver. To be honest, he doesn’t really have fear of anyone and comes up for work every day. And I adore that quality about him. There’s no doubt that he will be unique. Can’t say enough positive things about him.
Although Cain isn’t as well regarded as some of the other receivers in this class, such as Cam Coleman and Perry Thompson, he is still an excellent talent who will use his speed to create explosive plays in Jordan-Hare Stadium for many years to come.
