Former Oregon State Beavers corner Jermod McCoy has received two crystal balls to the Tennessee Volunteers after entering the transfer portal.
The coaching staff at Tennessee is starting to use the transfer site more frequently. The Vols have shifted their focus to a top Pac-12 target after acquiring the No. 1 tight end in Holden Staes and a top-10 safety in Jakobe Thomas.
According to 247Sports Transfer Rankings, Oregon State corner Jermod McCoy is ranked No. 7 in the transfer portal this cycle. After an outstanding true freshman season, he has three years of eligibility remaining. He graduated from high school in 2023. For the Beavers in 2023, McCoy recorded 31 tackles, seven pass deflections, and two interceptions.
Tennessee has been involved in this one, receiving two insider predictions to land McCoy on Monday. Chris Hummer and Collin Kennedy of 247Sports recorded predictions that were favorable to Tennessee, which is encouraging for the Vols.
The offseason is almost underway for Tennessee football. The Vols have concluded the regular season and are now focusing on roster construction for the 2023 season. Volunteer Country has fans covered with all the latest portal entries and NFL Draft declarations. The portal window is from December 4 until January 2. If players don’t transfer within that window, they must wait until May following spring practice to enter the transfer portal.
