Flexen, 29, spent six seasons as an MLB player. The New York Mets, who selected him in the 14th round of the 2012 MLB draft, was the team he played for for the first three seasons of his career.
He started for the Seattle Mariners between the first half of the 2023 season and the 2021 season. He was a member of the Colorado Rockies during the second part of 2023.
Over 487.2 career innings and 120 games, Flexen has a 4.95 ERA.

The White Sox declared that they acquired catcher Max Stassi from the Atlanta Braves in exchange for cash or an unidentified player. Just one day before being dealt to the White Sox, Stassi was traded to the Braves on Thursday.
