2025 four-star linebacker Darrell Johnson (Eastman, Ga.) is a top target for the Tennessee Volunteers and earned an invite to the Under Armour All-American Game.
Carrollton High School in Carrollton, Georgia hosted an invitational prospect camp earlier on Sunday, hosted by Under Armour. Numerous elite prospects attended the prospect showcase at the residence of current USC recruit Julian Lewis and former Volunteers cornerback Shamar Arnoux.
In an attempt to earn an invitation to the Under Armour All-American Game, a large number of national recruits traveled to compete against one another. Darrell Johnson, a linebacker at Dodge County High School, did receive an invitation and will be on campus in the spring, according to Matt Ray of On3. In the 2025 class, he is ranked No. 63 by 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.
Johnson was one of the most impressive guys in attendance at camp and put on a fantastic display. Several 2024 signees for the Volunteers, including safety Edrees Farooq, wide receiver Mike Matthews, running back Peyton Lewis, and edge rusher Jordan Ross, were present in the Under Armour All-American Game last year.
At this writing on November 28, 2023, Florida State insider Zach Blostein of Noles247 is reporting that the linebacker is now Crystal Balled to Florida State. It will be intriguing to observe the extent to which Tennessee can influence Johnson’s recruiting in the wake of linebackers coach Brian Jean-Mary’s departure to take a position at Michigan. Spring ball is rapidly coming, and the Volunteers hope to have a significant influence on this recruitment.
