The Atlanta Falcons tried to snap their five-year postseason drought by investing millions of dollars in their roster during the previous campaign. The Falcons finished 7-10 for the third consecutive season despite improving the offensive line, secondary, defensive line, and skill positions but neglecting to address the quarterback position.
After losing handily to the New Orleans Saints in the season finale, the franchise fired head coach Arthur Smith. Raheem Morris was eventually brought in by Atlanta to take Smith’s place. It’s easy to assume that if the team had upgraded at quarterback in the summer, Morris most likely wouldn’t be the head coach.
This summer, the Falcons are anticipated to make a move at the position; however, we are unsure if that move will come through the draft, free agency, or trade. Atlanta might consider Justin Fields, J.J. McCarthy, Kirk Cousins, Russell Wilson, Jayden Daniels, and Jayden Daniels in 2024.
Morris declared, “I’m not afraid to say that we have the ability and we are capable of going out there and winning next year.”
Morris stated at the NFL scouting combine on Tuesday, “I might not be standing here if we had better QB play last year in Atlanta.”
