The vast majority of the players the Atlanta Braves have in camp this spring may be regarded as being in the middle of their primes. The Braves’ roster is generally attractive and young, but it is involved enough to demand that seasoned player. It’s easy to forget that, even while Atlanta’s roster includes a number of players in their 20s, some of those players have helped the team win six consecutive NL East division titles and make several deep postseason runs.
Having said that, the Braves’ roster this season includes a few different types of people. Of course, some prospects are rather optimistic about their chances of getting into the massive alliance camp, but they have little to no chance of making the squad by Opening Day. However, there are some individuals in the camp who are honestly trying to get one last shot to remain in the large associations.
Here, we’ll be focusing on the previously stated gathering. Atlanta’s players in camp this year that meet the bill, considering the Braves are practically bolted on the position player side of things, are all pitchers as they seem to truly win a work. A few are cunning veterans who have battled bad luck. Others are those who don’t have much experience but are nearing the end of their opportunities to establish a significant association component.
Huascar Yoa
Though opinions on whether Huascar Ynoa should have started or relieved has always been strongly divided, one thing is for certain: he has a very live arm. His slider can make people look silly, and when he is on strike, his fastball, which has some life left in it, sits in the mid-90s. Ynoa finds himself at a crossroads in his career with the Braves, despite a bright start to his career.
Ynoa had Tommy John surgery at the end of the 2022 campaign. Given that many people have TJS in their professions, that isn’t a huge problem in and of itself. The problem is that the Braves have accumulated a strong bullpen while Ynoa has been sidelined. Additionally, Ynoa’s future as a starter is seriously doubtful, so one wonders where he fits into the team’s long-term plans, if he does.
