2025 four-star edge rusher Isaiah Gibson (Warner Robins, Ga.) caught up with Volunteer Country about his recruitment and updated his standing with the Tennessee Volunteers.
Tennessee started exploring names in Georgia and has been pursuing a number of impact 2025 defensive linemen. One player who has drawn their attention is Isaiah Gibson, a four-star edge rusher who is among the best pass rushers in the nation.
Gibson is ranked No. 143 in the class by 247Sports’ Composite Rankings. He took the effort to break out his recruitment with Volunteer Country because he has been receiving interest from numerous universities.
First things first, Gibson says, “It’s been really good just taking it day by day at this point.” He further affirms, saying, “Oregon, Clemson, South Carolina, USC, Florida, FSU, Georgia, Tennessee, and Oklahoma are the schools that have been pushing hard for me lately. Nonetheless, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, and South Carolina have been the universities that have truly made me feel like a priority.” He then dissected every school that had given him a sense of importance.
the state of Oklahoma: “The energy that they give off and the originality that I get from them is what catches my eye.”
Portland: “From day one, Oregon has made it known that they want me there.”
The Volunteer State: “They make sure I know I’m a top prospect on their radar.”
South Carolina: “The environment outside of football catches my eye.”
He continues by saying that he does have visits scheduled. “Georgia on the 13th and Florida on the 15th as of now. I would love to get to Oklahoma, but due to basketball, it’s limited. I’m hoping to travel to Tennessee as well.” Gibson is a versatile prospect who is probably at the top of many schools’ lists. Speaking of the Gibson recruitment, each school listed has particular advantages, and it’s probably far from done.
