Walker recorded 106 tackles, 24 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks, one interception, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries in his junior year.
Waller, Jamonta
Size: 240 pounds, 6 feet 1 inch
Place: EDGE
High school: Picayune Memorial High School, Miss
Recruitment: From July 2023 until November of 2023, Waller was devoted to Florida, where he made his first commitment. But Auburn persisted in pursuing the composite four-star, and following two visits in September and October, they finally persuaded him to switch on November 11.
To put Waller’s recruitment into context, consider that he had offers from eleven different SEC universities.
Best Qualities: Waller is a powerful pass rusher who can bend and dip beneath an offensive tackle’s outstretched arms while speed rushing. Chasing the quarterback was just the beginning of Waller’s skill.
Waller also does well in space when he either chases down a ball carrier or plays pass defense. The prime reason for his success in either area would be instincts. Waller did not waste time. He saw a play begin to develop and then charged the ball carrier or ran to the football in the air.
