2025 four-star linebacker Kelvion Riggins (Forney, Tex.) committed to Texas A&M over the Tennessee Volunteers on Friday.
On Friday afternoon, linebacker Kelvion Riggins of Forney High School made his commitment to the Texas A&M Aggies. Before the announcement, Riggins was leaning that way, and Texas A&M persisted in recruiting him, which, together with the in-state appeal, gained them his services.
Many people thought Texas A&M and Tennessee had the final say in Riggins’s decision. Twice in 2022, he traveled to Knoxville, Tennessee: first for a summer camp and again for Tennessee’s historic victory over Alabama Crimson Tide. Although Riggins has a long history on the Texas A&M campus, some believe that the recent coaching change has caused a disturbance. But Mike Elko, the team’s new head coach, did a great job clinching the in-state recruit.
George MacIntyre, a quarterback from Brentwood Academy, was acquired by the Vols on Monday morning, adding strength to their class of 2025. The coaching staff at Tennessee is confident they can surround MacIntyre with a potent class that excels on both sides of the ball. Three defensive commits from Milton High School—three corners—are already in the secondary. More additions are desired, particularly in the linebacker room.
Since coming to Rocky Top, linebackers coach Brian Jean-Mary has done a fantastic job with his group, and he wants to keep bringing in strong, athletic football players. Linebacker Jaedon Harmon of Rome High School is someone to watch going ahead.
