By agreeing to one-year contracts with all seven of the players, the White Sox were able to avoid arbitration. Michael Kopech, Andrew Vaughn, and Dylan Cease are a few well-known names that were signed.
The White Sox declared on Thursday that they will forego arbitration after reaching agreements with seven players.
Nicky Lopez ($4.3 million), Andrew Vaughn ($3.25 million), Michael Kopech ($3 million), Michael Soroka ($3 million), Touki Toussaint ($1.3 million), Dylan Cease ($8 million), and Garrett Crochet ($800,000) are those players.
These players are not guaranteed to play for the White Sox for the entire season or even at all, just because they signed one-year contracts with them. Notably, trade rumors have been involving standout pitcher Cease for months.
In the middle of February, White Sox catchers and pitchers report for Spring Training. They take play the Cubs on February 23 to begin their Spring Training schedule.
