Brian Kelly’s program development at LSU hasn’t exactly been centered around high school recruitment, but he has the makings of a class that might change the game in 2025.
With Bryce Underwood, the #1 overall pick and quarterback, leading the way, the Tigers presently have the best class in the country. The class’s best receiver, Dakorien Moore, and running back, Hallem Berry, have also committed to them.
That’s not even mentioning other premium commodities like blue-chip Baton Rouge linebacker Keylan Moses, who is also dedicated to the Tigers.
On3’s Keegan Pope recently broke down the teams off to the hottest starts in the 2025 cycle, and he says LSU takes the cake.
No one, I repeat, no one, is starting this cycle hotter than Brian Kelly and LSU, who have already secured three five-star commits. That is more than all other schools in the nation put together. Dakorien Moore, a wide receiver stationed in Texas, was the first to sign with the Tigers back in August, and things have only gotten better from there. The top recruit in the country, Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Bryce Underwood, choose LSU earlier this month over Michigan, Alabama, and a few other schools.
Harlem Berry, an in-state running back and the top player at his position in the On300, also committed to the Tigers just a few days earlier. Four more blue-chip pledges later, and LSU is firmly establishing itself as a contender for the nation’s best class.
Although there is still a long way to go until early signing day in December, if Kelly can maintain this level of performance, this class may define his tenure.
