2025 four-star corner Mason Alexander (Fishers, In.) cut his recruitment down to 12 schools and included the Tennessee Volunteers.
January 2nd saw the publishing of a top schools list by Mason Alexander. He is a 180-pound, 6-0 cornerback from Indiana. In the 2025 cycle, Alexander is ranked No. 267 by 247Sports’ Composite Rankings. He thinks highly enough of the Tennessee Volunteers to rank them among his top 12 universities.
According to Alexander, “Recruitment has been excellent. I adore the opportunity to learn about schools outside of my own neighborhood, as well as the actual experience itself. It’s been pretty nice, even though recruiting-wise, I made my top school.” After narrowing down his list to 12 schools, he took the time to analyze each one using Volunteer Country. Look down below.
Purdue University: “The DBs coach Carter is a key factor in going to Purdue; he has just been recruiting me hard, and another reason would be that it’s close to home, and if I went there, they would use me to my ability’s and standards they recruited me for.”
Wisconsin: “Down there, the culture is different, and the way they play, another thing is their academic curriculum. There, it kind of aligns with my goals in life—not only in football.”
the Sunshine State: “Growing up, I’ve always watched the Gators, and I was overly joyed to get this offer; not just living there but playing there was a dream for me.”
Ole Miss: “I went to Ole Miss for a camp, and after seeing the campus, everything was simple to understand, and I really enjoyed the location.” Everything was distinct from Indiana there.”
Auburn: “I get a lot of recruitment offers from Auburn. I was ecstatic to receive the offer and was thrilled about the chance.”
Missouri, West Virginia, and Maryland: “The defensive back coaches at Maryland, West Virginia, and Missouri have great connections with my mentors, and they have been recruiting me since before I had any real notice.”
Miami’s response: “Same as Maryland, and they were the first team to reach out; they just didn’t offer until later, but I’ve kept great communication with Coach Highsmith, and they think I can come and play early.”
Kentucky: “Kentucky has always been one of my favorites. I accepted the opportunity early and simply applied what Coach Collins had taught me.”
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: “Well, with it being my first offer, they have been close while recruiting and have great connections with my mentors as well, and they were the first to see the potential that I have.”
Tennessee: “Recruiting has been a top priority for Tennessee’s coaching staff. Every single day, I text the instructors, and I enjoy their culture and the noisy atmosphere and enthusiasm they have down there.”
