Charlie McAvoy scored his second goal of the game at 1:10 of overtime to secure the Boston Bruins a 4-3 triumph against the St. Louis Blues at Enterprise Center on Saturday.
After snatching the puck from Blues forward Robert Thomas in the neutral zone, McAvoy scored on a wrist shot from the right circle.
Boston, after dropping its last three games, increased its point streak to five games (2-0-3)
“This felt good,” McAvoy remarked. “Whilst having points in every game sounds nice, losing three straight overtimes was disappointing. We blow a lead tonight and have to go into overtime once more. However, everything turned out okay.”
The Bruins (25-8-9) had two goals from Brad Marchand and 19 stops from Jeremy Swayman.

At 6:07, Hayes scored a one-timer off a Kasperi Kapanen feed from behind the net to knot the score at one. At 9:55, the Bruins successfully contested that he was offside before to the goal, which resulted in the overturning of his second goal.
After St. Louis committed a turnover, McAvoy shot five holes on Binnington to give the Bruins a 2-1 lead again at 6:26 in the second.
At 10:57, a Jordan Kyrou cross-crease pass on a power play allowed the neighbors to tie the score 2-2.
At 7:43 of the third, Marchand’s 5-on-3 power-play goal gave Boston a 3-2 lead.
At 14:47, Sundqvist made it 3-3 by tipping a shot by Scott Perunovich at the top of the crease on the
