Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports that Jin Wong will be joining the Chicago White Sox as an assistant general manager. He was employed for the Kansas City Royals in the past.
In addition to reorganizing their front office staff, the White Sox have hired Jin Wong, an assistant general manager from the Kansas City Royals. Before spring training, White Sox associate general manager Jeremy Haber is anticipated to leave on his own, leaving Jin to take over some of his responsibilities.
Wong spent 24 years working for the Kansas City Royals, most recently as their Vice President of Baseball Operations.

Having spent 24 years in Kansas City, Wong recently concluded his second year in his role as vice president of baseball administration. During his time there, he has mostly handled the financial responsibilities of the team, including contract negotiations, payroll and roster management, wage arbitration, the club’s budget, and day-to-day Major League operations.
Including Lorenzo Cain, Alex Gordon, Mike Moustakas, Danny Duffy, and most recently Salvador Perez, who inked a four-year extension for a franchise-record $82 million in 2021, he had a significant part in the talks of multi-year player contracts for the Royals.
Among the worst clubs in baseball in 2023, the White Sox will undoubtedly present Wong with an impossible task. They are reorganizing the team under new general manager Chris Getz, having already sent Aaron Bummer to the Braves this offseason.
Additionally, they are considering trading Dylan Cease, their top pitcher, before
