At 2:40 of overtime in the Boston Bruins’ 4-3 loss to the Arizona Coyotes at Mullett Arena in Tempe, Arizona, on Tuesday, Linus Ullmark suffered a lower-body injury.
The injury happened when Ullmark extended to try to glove save a wrist shot from the slot that Coyotes forward Logan Cooley took and went over the crossbar.

Following the game, Boston coach Jim Montgomery was not aware of Ullmark’s condition.
Although the circumstances are not ideal, we have faith in our team and the person who will be leading us. Charlie McAvoy, a defender with the Boston Bostonians, stated, “We have complete faith in {Sway’ coming in, but you never want to see that stuff happen.” Although it’s difficult for a goaltender to enter the game cold, we can accomplish it under any situation. You play with the hand you’re dealt and strive to maximize it, no matter what.
In 21 games (20 starts) this season, Ullmark is 13-5-2 with a 2.75 goals-against average and a.916 save percentage. The 30-year-old finished 40-6-1 with a 1.89 GAA,.938 save percentage, and two shutouts in 49 games (48 starts) to win the Vezina Trophy as the NHL’s best goalie of the previous season.
