The NHL has chosen Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki to represent Montreal at the All-Star Game for the second year in a row. What stands out most about Suzuki’s 2023 debut is his skill in the ‘Pitch ‘n Puck’ golf tournament, when he scored the lowest (-1) of all the contestants. How much of that one-year supply of Chipotle has he actually eaten? Which game this year will the 24-year-old forward perform best?
While we’re asking All-Star questions, we might also want to know who of his teammates has a chance to win a ticket to the game in Toronto by casting an NHL All-Star fan vote.
Through fan voting, just 12 more players—on top of the 32 previously chosen by the league—will be allowed to play in the All-Star game. This suggests that Suzuki may be the only Habs representative, at least statistically speaking. It’s entertaining to speculate about other people you think should receive support from fans via the voting process, though!
Three players have been chosen by me that I believe should be on your ballot: one rookie, one depth option, and one clear choice. Curious about my selection and my reasoning? To discover out, you’ll have to watch my most recent Habs Hockey Report program!
