Former Guns N’ Roses Drummer Frank Ferrer Breaks His Silence Following Exit After 19 Years

Frank Ferrer, the longest-serving drummer in Guns N’ Roses history, has publicly addressed his departure from the band after nearly two decades. In a heartfelt message shared on Instagram, Ferrer expressed profound gratitude and appreciation for his time with the band, while also acknowledging the sadness of this chapter coming to an end.

A Storied Journey with Guns N’ Roses

Ferrer joined Guns N’ Roses in June 2006, initially stepping in as a temporary replacement for Bryan “Brain” Mantia. His role quickly became permanent, and he contributed to several major tours, including the “Not in This Lifetime…” reunion tour. Ferrer also played on the band’s 2008 album Chinese Democracy and appeared on the live portion of their 2022 Hard Skool EP. His final performance with the band took place on November 5, 2023, in Mexico. (BLABBERMOUTH.NET)

A Message of Gratitude

In his Instagram post, Ferrer wrote, “The outpouring of love I have felt from the incredible fans of Guns N’ Roses and my peers over the past 24 hours has been tremendous. I will have immense gratitude and love always for Axl and the band while at the same time, disappointment that this chapter came to an end.” He continued, “It has been an incredible 19 years. Guns N’ Roses has given me life-changing memories and experiences. A huge thanks to management, the crew, and fans for giving me memories that I will cherish for my lifetime. I hope I see you all again soon!”

The Band’s Tribute

Guns N’ Roses also paid tribute to Ferrer, stating, “Thank you, Frank. For the friendship, creativity, and sturdy presence over the last 19 years.” The band wished him success in his future endeavors and confirmed that his last performance with them was on November 5, 2023, in Mexico.

Welcoming Isaac Carpenter

Following Ferrer’s departure, Guns N’ Roses announced Isaac Carpenter as their new drummer. Carpenter, an accomplished drummer and songwriter, is known for his work with bands such as AWOLNATION, Adam Lambert, and A Perfect Circle. He is set to join the band for their 2025 European, Asian, and Middle Eastern tour, which begins on May 1 in South Korea. (The Sun, New York Post)

Reflecting on a Legacy

Ferrer’s departure marks the end of an era for Guns N’ Roses. His contributions to the band’s rhythm section have been integral to their sound and success over the past 19 years. As the band moves forward with new energy and a fresh lineup, Ferrer’s legacy within the Guns N’ Roses story remains a significant chapter.

Fans and fellow musicians continue to express appreciation for Ferrer’s work and wish him well in his future musical endeavors. His journey with Guns N’ Roses may have concluded, but his impact on the band and its music endures.

Led Zeppelin the Best Band of all time Led#1 forever, Led Zeppelin, formed in 1968, consisted of Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham. After reshaping the sound of rock with their debut Led Zeppelin (1969), they followed with Led Zeppelin II (1969), III (1970), and IV (1971), which featured the immortal “Stairway to Heaven.” The band seamlessly blended blues, hard rock, and folk influences with unmatched intensity. Physical Graffiti (1975) and Presence (1976) showed their experimental range, while In Through the Out Door (1979) reflected musical evolution. Known for mystique and explosive live shows, Zeppelin avoided releasing singles, encouraging full-album experiences. The band dissolved after Bonham’s death in 1980, but their 2007 reunion at the O2 Arena proved their enduring magic. Selling over 300 million records, Led Zeppelin are Rock Hall inductees and cultural cornerstones, often cited as the greatest rock band in history.

Sabbath formed the year I was born, first song I learned on guitar was Sweet L3af, saw Ozzy in ‘82 just after the plane crash, countless Ozfest’s, 1998 reunion show, etc etc….. I’ve seen a lot of fans talking about what band was uninvited, or who didn’t live up to the hype, or which band shouldn’t have been there… I watched the entire show and, for me, the lifetime soundtrack was as touching and meaningful as a McCartney concert…

Ever since I first heard him on the Bark At The Moon album, I’ve been a huge fan Of Jake E. Lee. I’ve seen him play with Ozzy twice, Badlands once and his solo band 3 or 4 times and have met him twice. He is one of the nicest, humblest people you can ever be lucky to meet.
